This Year's Ultimate Christmas ToyTickle me Elmo has been a favorite hot selling Christmas toy for several years running. In fact it has become so popular and well known that other industries got on the bandwagon with clothes, shoes, bedding and untold other items, all themed around the famous and loveable Elmo character.Major toymakers are having an intense and costly time during the Holidays when promoting and competing with one another for the top 10 or 20 most wanted toys for Christmas. Most brand name toy manufacturers have a dedicated website where parents can research the specifications of items they are thinking of buying for their children. Usually included is information related to authorized resellers and outlets as well as suggested retail prices. What is the newest craze in toys that might top or even come close in popularity to Elmo, the 10 year old all time favorite? Remember, it's never too early to shop for Christmas. Here is a list of some of this year's contenders: Elmo Hands - gloves to fit over kids hands will emit sound when touched to a surface. Webkinz - a series of cute plush toy animals including a turtle, pelican, owl, puppy and others. It looks like this may be a serious contender - shop for these now before they are sold out! Nintendo Wii - video game console - pricey - but extremely popular. This has been around for a while and still in the running. Remote Control Toys - known and marketed as "RC" include cars, helicopters, trucks, boats, tanks, submarines and robots. These are some of the most wanted items for boys ages 6 and up, but it looks like there is no real special or favorite hot item in this group. There are many others, including the most bizarre stuff from Nightmare before Christmas, but the above list appears to be the cream of the top most wanted toys for this year. |
